Alpaca wool has properties that make it stain-resistant and water-repellant, so it’s the natural choice for hand-knitted baby clothes and for booties in particular. You can just quickly blot away any spills before they soak in.
Because our booties are made of felted wool, you don’t have to worry about washing them in the machine. Simply toss them in the washer on the “delicate” setting with cool water and then lay them out to dry.
If you prefer to hand wash, you can soak them in cold water in a mild detergent and then squeeze out the excess water.
