Every child matters to Miou, and that includes the children of our highly skilled team of artisan knitters in Peru. We pay our workers a fair wage so they can help support their families and have money to educate their children. Working for Miou also allows them to work from home, where they can be an active part of their kids’ daily lives and nurture and care for them. These women also follow a tradition of passing down their knitting knowledge through the generations from mother to daughter, which allows their girls to develop a skill that will enable them to one day help support their own families.
