Miou believes strongly in protecting the environment, our children and our employees from harmful chemicals and harmful practices. We do not use harsh dyes in our products, and use only environmentally friendly wool like baby alpaca and organic cotton.
Our knitters are a team of talented women from Peru who are all paid a fair wage and work in conditions that allow them to stay home and raise their children while they knit. Peru has a tradition of passing down knitting knowledge from mother to daughter, and Miou is proud to be able to support the furthering of this valuable practice.
