Miou believes strongly in creating products that cause no harm to the children who wear them, the people who make them or to the environment. We choose fabrics like organic cotton and eco- friendly dyes because we don’t want our knitters to be handling toxic pesticides, and we don’t want to expose the children who wear the garments to anything harmful.
We also believe in paying our team of highly skilled knitters in Peru a fair wage, because we want them to be able to support their families. Our Miou knitters work from home where they can look after their own children, and this helps further the tradition of passing on their knitting skills from mother to daughter.
