Caring for your alpaca coats

Baby alpaca is a great choice for children, who have been known to play hard and attract messes! Luckily, the naturally stain-resistant and water-resistant properties of alpaca make it harder for dirt to grind into the fabric. To wash your coat, simply soak in cold water with a mild detergent. Do not wring or twist, which will stretch the fabric. Rinse well and lay between two towels. You can roll the towels up to absorb excess moisture before laying the garment flat on a fresh towel to dry.
